Framework Agreement for General Building Services.
The University of Stirling is currently re-tendering the Framework
Agreement for General Building services. This Framework Agreement covers
various joinery and building works to commercial and residential
buildings, both internally and externally. It also includes supply/ fit
and repair of doors, windows; construction of partitions and formwork;
fitting of locks & ironmongery; construction of brick/ block walls;
concrete work to floors and foundations. The awarded contractor will be
required to ensure the provision of labour, plant (for works, access and
protection) and materials as required for the undertaking of the above
services, throughout all properties owned, leased or rented by the
employer, on or off the University Campus.

Stirling will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day Standstill Period
following electronic notification (minimum of 15 calendar days for any
other means of communication) to unsuccessful applicants of the award
decision. The Public Contracts and Utilities Contracts (Scotland)
Amendment (Amendment) Regulations 2009 provide for remedies through the
Scottish courts to be sought by economic operators who suffer (or risk
suffering) loss or damage as a consequence of a failure by the University
of Stirling to comply with certain provisions of those regulations and/or
certain EU Community obligations relating to procurement. In summary,
proceedings must be brought promptly and in any event within 3 months of
the date on which grounds for bringing proceedings first arise. The
relevant court will have discretion to extend the deadline if it considers
there is good reason for so doing”.
